Bhandari inter-departmental sports meet ends

 DThe third edition of Inter-departmental Sports Meet, Bhandari, 2021 in support of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, which started on February 23 came to an end on February 25.

DC Wokha, Orenthung Lotha graced the closing day as the valedictory guest. 

According to DIPR, applauding the civil administration, Bhandari, for holding the sports meet in continuous manner, the DC said that it has become an event to look forward and a platform for government departments and the public to converge together with objective to cooperate and strengthen their good relations for good governance and delivering efficient services to the public for a collective progress.

In the final football matches both men and women categories, defending champions 7NAP teams defeated Engineering Team and Education Department by penalty shoot-out. In badminton, 7NAP won in double leaving Engineering team as runners-up. Administration and Police emerged as the champions in mixed double while IPR and Agri finished as runners up.

In Tug-of-war (men) Government officials defeated civil societies’ team whereas in women category, Eloe Hoho defeated the government servants’ team. EAC Head Quarter, and convener, organizing committee, Dr. Riku Khutso thanked BJP national spokesperson and advisor IT&C, S&T, NRE, Mmhonlumo Kikon and Deputy Commissioner, Wokha for their support and contributions towards the sports meet.
