Book titled ‘The Destiny’ released in Kohima

eBook titled “the destiny” written by senior journalist Oken Jeet Sandham was released by Nagaland Press Association (NPA) president, H Chishi at the Tibet Kitchen on August 12.

According to a press release by organisers, Sandham said that he wrote the book on his wife Aneile Kenye who was discharged from the ICU, Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) on March 30, 2020, after staying there for more than 10 years. While sharing about his wife’s stay at the hospital, Sandham said that the outbreak of COVID-19 changed the course of their life and that her discharge from the ICU, NHAK on March 30, 2020 brought her the destiny to unite himself with his children.

He further added that this turn of event influenced him to write a book on her. Appreciating the author for writing on his wife, Chishi recalled his association with the author for more than two decades and said that the author’s patience and perseverance while his wife was in the ICU for more than a decade exhibited in many ways.

Meanwhile, KPC advisor Kopelo (Kops) Krome, joint secretary, Alem Jamir were among others who attended the book launch. The book is available on Amazon at Rs 250 and the paperback is at Rs. 300.
