Brave front accolade & launching of COVID-19 tribute song

A brave front accolade and launching of Arijit Sharma’s COVID-19 tribute song was held Sunday, at DBIL hall, Don Bosco campus, Dimapur, jointly organized by Nagaland NGOs Forum (NNF) and Vivekananda Welfare Foundation (VWF).
Speaking at the programme, additional deputy commissioner (ADC) V. Lovitoly Sema, as special guest said that with the joint efforts of the frontline workers and the community, the administration has been able to deliver their best efforts during this pandemic period.
On behalf of the district administration, Sema extended gratitude to all those who have been involved towards the fight against pandemic and said that “we can win if we all stay together as one and fight against the pandemic.”
ADC said that with the assistance of the Police, peaceful environment was maintained in the district and issue of law and order has not been reported.
She pointed out that Dimapur being the feeder district of the entire state, the administration has been trying to make the supply chain of commodities available to the people. During the entire lockdown period the supply chain has been continuous and for which the administration thanked the Police team for extending full support and cooperation.
She also highlighted that with the help of the NGOs and CSOs, the administration was able to sensitise the people and also encouraged all to follow few principles - to stay indoors and stay safe.
ACP, Tokavi Achumi called upon all to stand together, while also extending gratitude toward the citizens of Dimapur for being obedient and disciplined during such time. He also thanked the NGOs, CSOs and volunteers for giving out their helping hand.
Meanwhile, chief medical officer (CMO) Dimapur, Dr Tiasunep Pongener in his speech highlighted about the contribution carried out by the Medical department saying that over the past four months, the CMO team have been “ceaseless” and “tirelessly” working round the clock be it at the quarantine centres, various stations, airport and inter-state border till date.
The team had been covering almost the whole of Dimapur apart from the medical superintendent team which have been covering the COVID Hospital.
Pongener maintained that at present there were about 450 plus doctors including lab technicians, nurses, ambulance drivers and grade III and grade-IV staff. 
The team tried their best to contain the Coronavirus but it has already reached and was here to stay, but CMO encouraged all not to be discouraged but continue with the team work.
He also added that one day or the other community spread would take place and that “The war is not over, we need to continue to fight and win the war by staying together, supporting each other and obeying the guidelines.”
Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) administrator Albert Ezung asserted that the pandemic might have been a difficult time for all, but it has also brought out the best in many.
Ezung mentioned that for the frontline workers, it has been a real test of character and ability to recharge their capabilities and when it came to rendering service to the people, there has been no compromise.
Mentioning about the contribution of municipal council in fighting against the pandemic, Ezung said that the council has been silently contributing through their service.
At the programme, felicitation to the brave fronts was carried out including Medical, Police, administration, CSOs. Samaj and various NGOs were also felicitated. The tribute song composed by Falguni Sharma and sang by Arijit Sharma was launched by ADC, Dimapur.
The programme was chaired by NNF joint secretary Asha Zhanuo Sanchu, invocation prayer offered by NNF advisor Rev. Fr. CP Anto and welcome address was delivered by NNF Dr Y Hesheto Chishi.
