Celebrate the Christmas fest with exceeding joy

Christmas is a day of celebrating the birthday of Jesus Christ with exceeding joy and hope.

However, the exact day when our Saviour was born is mentioned neither in Holy Bible nor in any other historical books even though He was probably born in winter according to Bible. This is a mystery.

In view of the fact, the festive feeling of Christmas has not been felt on December 25 alone but at the very setting of December, the melodious Christmas songs have been echoing everywhere beside glittering decorations competitively placed in every street and corner of towns, cities and villages which make things so different and beautiful.

On the other side, the dews and snow falling on the beautiful decorations play its part in blessing it. The absence of harsh weather, the tradition of exchanging the best wishes and gifts during Christmas season instils joy, peace, affection and closer ties in all human hearts. Thus, the Christmas season has been a time of filling everybody’s heart with love, peace, joy and generosity.

Why such a season of happiness and good wishes should not be prolonged? Why the celebration of Salvation, the welcoming of Heavenly Kingdom should be limited to a few days program?

The Holy Bible talks about the continual worship of God Almighty and His Christ by four Living creatures, twenty four elders and redeemed Saints.

He is worshipped by myriads and myriads, thousands and thousands of Heavenly Angels, by creatures in Heaven, on earth and beneath the earth with great joy in honouring God.

Thanksgiving, glorifying and praising the victorious Messiah has been a continual activity in Heaven.

When we view these activities closely, Christmas is seen as an extended celebration of Christ’s victory which is and will gloriously take place in Heaven eternally. The deliverance of God’s children from the hands of our arch-enemy Lucifer-satan deserves a louder and lengthier celebration here on earth as well.

Are we not created and redeemed by the blood of the Lamb for this purpose?

There has been great joy in the faces of students and parents when their children pass their examinations. There are elated thoughts and appreciations when they pass their competitive exams and win World Sports events etc.

However, the birthday of Jesus Christ, the deliverer of God’s people from the hands of the dreaded enemy, the spiritual terrorist-satan deserves a surpassing acknowledgement and continual celebration with louder praises.

The fulfilment of Genesis 3:15, Psalm 68:21 and Mt.1:21 was for our eternal benefit. It was made possible only through the birth of Jesus Christ who came to earth to bear the ordeals mentioned in Isaiah 53 for our redemption.

Many scientists have left the earth without discovering Salvation for their souls. Many conquerors and heroes have gone before they could triumph over their sins.

Their souls are said to be in torment in the lake of fire that burns with brimstone. The punishments of Hell are indescribable and more horrible than COVID-19 pandemic.

It is worse than unimaginable degrees of disasters which people often face on earth. Hence, I am sending my deepest wish to all people that everyone may spend this Christmas season by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord, God and personal Saviour to escape the stated horrible punishments of Hell so that we may enter the Heavenly Kingdom safely.

Christmas is celebrated by warmly welcoming our Saviour Jesus Christ to dwell within us eternally.

Merry Christmas.
