CM, Dy.CM, others extend Easter greetings

 State chief minister Neiphiu Rio extended Easter greetings to the people of Nagaland and wished for a happy and a blessed Easter Sunday. In a message, Rio said Easter was a time of renewal and awakening and prayed that the miracle of Easter bring renewed hope, faith, love and joy; all received through God’s divine grace.

Dy.CM: State deputy chief minister Y Patton said Easter Sunday was celebrated throughout the world to glorify the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the death, giving all believers a blessed assurance. In his message, Patton said that Christ lived His life in humility and in the service of the people, teaching and living the Gospel of Love. “During this Easter, let us learn to imbibe virtues of love, peace and compassion which are the true tenets of Christianity and may the love of Jesus Christ touch upon each and every one of our lives,” he said and wished the people a very blessed and Happy Easter.

NPCC: Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee has conveyed warm Easter greetings to every citizen of Nagaland and prayed that “this Easter celebration continue to reflect Christ in our lives.”

In a message, NPCC president K Therie said: “For His love for us is so great, He forgave you and me and bore the burden of our sins through His Son Jesus Christ, on the Cross” and prayed that all the people learn to love and forgive each other. “Because Jesus has risen from the grave, after having suffered death to save sinners like us on this Easter Sunday,” NPCC president said and wished all to receive the free gift of salvation in the true spirit.

NPP state unit: National People’s Party (NPP) Nagaland state unit has extended Easter greetings to the people of the Nagaland and wished all bountiful of happiness and good health. 

In a message, NPP state unit president Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema described Easter as “a symbol of Life renewed, of Hope found even in the depths of the darkness of a Tomb, of unyielding Faith conquering Death.”

Stating that today the circumstances called for humanity and kindness more than ever, NPP state unit said called upon all to be Christians by actions and not Christian by words alone. NPP unit also prayed that this Easter “rejuvenate us with kindred souls and fill our hearts with compassion”.
