CMHSS celebrates 125th years of existence

Clark Memorial Higher Secondary School (CMHSS) celebrated its 125th years of existence on Friday, at the CMHSS premise, with ABAM Executive Secretary, Mar Atsongchanger as the key speaker.

Speaking on the occasion, ABAM Executive Secretary, Mar Atsongchanger stressed that the school should bear a greater responsibility towards religious and educational excellence of the Naga society, as enshrined in the school motto: “Towards Excellence”. He stated that the school has been the moulders of many community and public luminaries of the past, which should be equally balanced, in the present and the future. 

With this simple goal in mind, the speaker appealed to the people in general, to give and sacrifice more for the noble endeavour of humanity, as has been exemplified by the gracious American missionaries and the followers.

The celebratory function was chaired by assistant professor FAC, Dr. Lanurenla Aochen and the greetings was said by ABAM president Rev. Temsu S, while the special songs were presented by CMHSS Alumni Chubatsur Jamir and CMHSS students. Earlier, short speeches were delivered by School Managing Board, L Alemtemsu Ao, village council chaiirmen of Mopungchuket and Sungratsu villages and a host of past students and staffs of CMHSS. A special prayer was conducted by ABAM Youth Secretary Toshi Sanglir for the departed souls of CMHSS and the vote of thanks was proposed the CMHSS Principal, Chubainla.
