Compulsory wearing of face mask launched at OHC Kma

In line with the directive of Associations of Kohima Municipal Wards Panchayat (AKMWP), the Officer Hill Colony (OHC) Kohima has kick started off compulsory wearing of mask in the colony areas on November 9.

A press release by OHC Kohima stated that, during the launching programme at the colony, chairman of OHC, Alakuo Sekhose said that wearing of face mask would be made mandatory for every person moving in and around within the colony wards.

Alakuo said that compulsory wearing of mask was important and necessary to create awareness to the public to follow preventives measures in public places. He further said that any defaulters found moving around without face mask in the colony and wards will be compelled to buy face mask on the spot at Rs. 30 per mask, and that colony volunteers would be on duty at all times.

During the programme, Dr. Phyantsuthung Patton also addressed on the importance of wearing mask for protection from COVID-19 pandemic.
