Late Visevonuo Bebi Tsürho

The ruling Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) founding member and women wing president Visevonuo Bebi Tsürho passed away on Tuesday at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima after a brief illness. She was 52 years. 

Late Bebi also served as the principal of Kohima Law College and member of the State Juvenile Justice Board.
Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio, deputy chief minister and BJP Legislature Party leader Y. Patton,  NDPP president Chingwang Konyak and others condoled her demise.
CM: Nagaland chief minister, Neiphiu Rio said he was extremely shocked and saddened to hear of the sudden demise of Mrs. Visevonuo Bebi Tsürho, president NDPP women Organisation.
Rio said that late Bebi was a dedicated member of the party and was instrumental in founding the NDPP from the time of the party’s inception.
Late Bebi also made significant contributions towards the upliftment of women, development of women empowerment and gender equality and led the women organisation of the party with exemplary leadership, dedication, loyalty and honesty, Rio said. 
As the principal of Kohima Law College, Rio said she served with utmost sincerity and was known as an excellent teacher and administrator, responsible for moulding students and grooming young minds for a better society.
Rio said that her sacrifices and contributions towards the good of others will always be remembered for all times to come. As a close family friend and relative, Rio said late Bebi was always supportive and stood with them in their common journey of serving the people.
 “We will miss her presence, her guidance and her friendship,” he added.
Rio said the party has lost a prominent leader and the society bids farewell to a person who had so much more to contribute , adding the vacuum created will be difficult to fill. 
Rio, joined by his family, conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family, members of the NDPP, faculty and students of Kohima Law College and all well wishers.
Rio also prayed that the Almighty God grant eternal rest to the departed soul and provide solace to the bereaved family members.
 
Dy.CM: State deputy chief minister and state BJP legislature party leader, Y Patton, has expressed sadness over the demise of Visevonuo Bibe Tsurho, NDPP president women wing and Kohima Law college principal in Kohima on March 9, 2021. 
In a condolence message, Patton said that late Visevonuo was an active NDPP party worker, an educator and a feminist, who made significant contributions in all the paths she walked. Patton said her demise was a great loss to the family and the Nagas. 
The deputy chief minister, on behalf of the state BJP legislatures, has conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
 
NDPP president: NDPP president Chingwang Konyak and the party rank and file expressed deep shock and pain at the news of the sudden demise of Visevonuo Bebi Tsürho, NDPP Women Organisation president on Tuesday.
In his condolence message, Chingwang Konyak said late Bebi was a dedicated party member who was instrumental in founding the NDPP and contributed immensely towards the upliftment and development of women empowerment and gender equality. Chingwang noted that she headed the women organisation with leadership, dedication, loyalty and honesty.
The NDPP in general and the women organisation in particular have lost a mother and a mentor who dedicated herself in the growth and progress of the party in all fronts, he said adding that her passing away has created a vacuum that will be difficult to fill. 
The party prayed that “the Almighty grant eternal rest to madam’s soul; and may God provide solace to the members of the bereaved family.”
 
Kronu: Minister for planning & co-ordination, land revenue, parliamentary affairs, Neiba Kronu said he was extremely shocked to hear about the sad and untimely demise of Visevonuo Bebi Tsurho. 
Kronu said that late Bebi was a committed and dedicated leader who had rendered her best services for the organisation during her short period with the party. “In her demise we have lost a good member and a remarkable woman leader,” Kronu said and conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
 
Bongkhao: Advisor DUDA, N. Bongkhao Konyak expressed pain over the demise of Visevonuo Bebi Tsurho.
In his condolence note, Bongkhao described late Bebi as an empowered women, an inspiration to many, a humble soul, a teacher and a guide as she served in various capacities and also led the women folks in NDPP party as president central women organization.
On behalf of NDPP Tobu area and on his own behalf, Bongkhao conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
 
NDPP youth body: NDPP Youth Organisation said it was deeply shocked and saddened to learn of the untimely demise of Visevonuo Bebi Tsürho, president NDPP Women Organisation.
Youth wing president Kelhouneizo Yhome said late Bebi was a leader with vast knowledge and experience. Her dedicated and unquenchable zeal to serve the public particularly standing for women rights and causes have always been an inspiration to all, he said. 
Stating that her leadership as a woman was exemplary and unparalleled, which will always be remembered, Yome said her untimely demise was indeed a great loss to the party and the vacuum left will be difficult to replaced.
The youth wing rank and file conveyed heartfelt condolences and prayed that God Almighty grant peace and comfort to the bereaved family during this hour of grief and for the departed soul rest in peace.
 
KLC: The administration, teaching/non-teaching staff and students community of Kohima Law College (KLC) expressed deep pain and shock at the untimely demise of the college principal Ms.Visevonuo (Bebi). 
KLC media cell said that late Bebi joined the college as a lecturer in 1996 and became the first and only lady law college principal in Nagaland from 2006 till date. 
KLC said she was the “pillar of strength and authority for college administration, for the staff, she was the best friend, and the students, she was principal, teacher, parent and friend rolled into one”. 
Her formidable physical presence and commanding voice belied the loving, caring and sensitive soul within, KLC said, adding for her, the problems and cares of those around her came first and hers last. 
Her contribution and love for the college would remain fresh in the minds of every college family member and many past pupils remain grateful to her for what they are today, KLC said. 
Though the college has lost a wonderful soul who dedicated her life to teach what is right and values of humanity, KLC said the college as a family also celebrates for her good life though it was brief.
The college fraternity prayed that her soul rest in eternal peace and also conveyed sincere condolences to the bereaved family members especially late Bebi’s aged father and mother and assured them their prayer to let Almighty God grant them solace in time of grief.
 
 
 
Kiphire region: NDPP Kiphire Region rank and file expressed shock and pain over the demise of Visevonuo Bebi, president NDPP women organization. 
NDPP Kiphire region president Tsaseto Sangtam and general secretary Atsoba Anar said that the passing away of Visevonuo Bebi has left an indelible mark in the party, especially the central NDPP women organization. The region along with all its frontal, youth and women organizations conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that God Almighty grant strength and solace to the family members and for the departed soul to rest in peace.
 
NLSF: Expressing deep shock and grief over the sudden and untimely demise of Kohima law college principal Visevonuo (Bebi), the Nagaland Law Students’ Federation (NLSF) said she was an excellent lecturer, a principal and a nicest human being the students ever came across. 
In a condolence message, NLSF president C Talimoa and general secretary Dieku Wetsah said her demise was “indeed” a sad day for the law students of the state. The federation stated that the outstanding contribution she made to the law students “is and was an ineffable.” Her passing away, NLSF said was a great loss for the law students of the state and an irreparable loss to the federation, adding that the void caused by her death would be difficult to fill.
NLSF has conveyed deepest condolences to the members of the bereaved family and prayed that Almighty God grant them strength and solace during this time of grief.
 
NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II A/C: Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) 5 Ghaspani II assembly constituency along with advisor sericulture, excise & minority affairs Zhaleo Rio, MLA, have expressed shock over the sudden demise of Visevonuo Bebi Tsürhuo.
In a condolence message, NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II A/C president Dosau Kuotsu and general secretary Tokihe Zhimo described late Tsürhuo as “a simple, humble and efficient leader of the masses” and said she “always prioritised for the uplift of women.”
While mourning her demise, the party prayed that the living God grant solace to the bereaved family and bless them to brave the void left by her.
