COVID-19: Information, directives & advisories

District administrations and civil society organisations (CSOs) have issued information and directives to the general public in order to contain further community spread. The deputy commissioners (DCs) have also designated persons and constituted teams for effective implementation of COVID-19 related tasks in their respective districts. 

Kohima: With concerns over the spread of COVID-19, DTF Kohima on COVID-19 and chief medical officer (CMO) Kohima on the request of the Naga hospital colony panchayat and youth organisation conducted random sampling collection for COVID-19 test within the colony on Saturday. 

Informing this, Naga hospital colony youth organisaiton president Vikehelie Suohu said that altogether, 41 samples of shopkeepers and colony residents voluntarily coming forward were collected and sent for testing. Meanwhile, he also informed that the first day of the week-long total lockdown passed peacefully. 

Peren: DC Peren, Sentiwapang Aier has designated Nzangbeu, CHC Jalukie (COVID Hospital) as in-charge to man the district COVID-19 helpdesk with immediate effect.

The DC has informed that the aforementioned would ensure that updated information on bed occupancy, ambulance services and other vital information for health facility is kept readily for the public 24x7. 

The order also stated that all concerned may contact at 8732841972 and 9402728560 helpline numbers/district control room for any assistance related to COVID-19.

Tuensang: DC & chairman DTF for COVID-19 Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant has informed that in order to provide technical and spiritual support to the COVID-19 positive patients by facilitating telephonic counseling platform, district counseling team for COVID-19 has been constituted with counseling doctors: Dr. Senilo Magh 7005423078; Dr. Ngukato 8826800714; Dr.lmlong 8974503411; Dr. Zerila 8800597807; Dr. Noklangkumla 8131948341 and Dr. Emmanuel 9862537892.

Meanwhile, counseling pastors/religious leaders were constituted with: Achila Achu 8787767532; Rev. Sangkap, TTBC 9856522201; Moa, ABC 9862184446; Rev. The DC further informed that this is a temporary arrangement purely to facilitate Covid-19 positive patients. Patients Wards/Guardians may call the listed Doctors/Pastors/Religious leaders only on Covid-19 related issues.

WSBAK: As part of its social responsibility, Western Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakulu (WSBAK) has informed that it would sponsor procurement of coffins for the poor and needy succumbing to Covid-19 at District Hospital, Dimapur.

ZVC: Zeliangrong village council (ZVC) held its emergency meeting on May 15 at Zeliangrong village council hall, Dimapur.

In a press release, ZVC chairman, ZVC general secretary and Zeliangrong village GB informed that the council in its meeting resolved to revoke the resolution no. 3 of May 13, whereas, resolution no.1 and 2 would stand still and valid till the lockdown period.
