In connection with the report of busting an illegal liquor unit in 7th Mile area, Dimapur on September 2, 2020, the Customs Preventive Division, Dimapur has refuted the claim of the Defence PRO that the recovered items were handed over to Chümoukedima police station and SP of Anti Smuggling Customs Prevention Division, Dimapur, for further investigation.

Customs Preventive Division, Dimapur assistant commissioner Imkong Toshi Ao clarified that the arrested person and recovered item (smuggled timbers) were never handed over to the division. The division stated that the claim was “unsubstantiated and misleading” as it had “not received any information nor have any connection in the instant case.”
