Chairman Union Tening Block (CUTB) has appealed the concerned authority to assess the situation in Peren and provide the requisite needs of the area without delay.

In an appeal to minister in-charge for COVID-19 management Peren district, the CUTB (N) president Wangkung and vice president Namkiebui pointed to the pathetic condition faced by the public due to the escalated COVID-19 menace in the area. CUTB (N) claimed that inspite of the unfortunate situation being faced by the public due to the spate of COVID-19 positive cases in the community, the government has not intervened and afforded the immediate needs of the area. It stated that ambulance, test equipments and financial provision for the management of COVID-19 should be provided.  Pointing out that till date “there is no ambulance, no test equipments etc,” which shows the unpreparedness and apathetic attitude of the concern authorities, the CUTB (N) said that “persistent delaying the vital emergency procedures by the concern authority in the area will be accountable for further fall out of the COVID-19 in the area.”
