D&S Judge Phek convicts two

Court of District and Session Judge on June 17 has convicted two persons for “illegally possessing and transporting” 450 kg of ganja and awarded the duo 15 years of rigorous imprisonment. A press release by government pleader cum public prosecutor, Samuel Ritse, informed that Session Judge Phek, Mezivolu T Therieh also imposed a fine of Rs. two lakh each to the convicts under NDPS Act.  The release stated that the two accused person namely Khapelo Sarah and Vecukho Rhakho was arrested by police after a huge quantity of ganja was found from the house of accused Khapelo at Lewoza Village on May 30, 2018.
