Delhi: Rio calls on Gadkari, Rajnath

State chief minister Neiphiu Rio called on the Union minister for Road Transport, Highways and Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Nitin Gadkari and Union Defence minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi on Monday. Taking to twitter, Rio said he met Gadkari and discussed about Trans Nagaland Highway (Foothill Road) and other road projects. “We also discussed creation of skill development centres under MSME schemes,” he said.

Gadkari also wrote on twitter “Chief Minister of Nagaland Shri @Neiphiu_Rio Ji called on to discuss the on-going infrastructure projects in the state. Discussions also included creation of skill development centres under MSME schemes.  Gadkari said he also suggested development of Bamboo clusters in the state to further support the growing agarbatti industry.
Meanwhile, Rio, in a separate tweet, said that he called on defence minister Rajnath Singh and sought support of Defence Ministry for Ceithu Airport Kohima in view of its strategic importance. Rio said he also discussed early completion of Bokajan-Botsa Road under Border Roads Organisation.
