DGP sports team observes Golden Jubilee

 DThe Nagaland Police DGP sports team celebrated the Golden Jubilee on November 12 through the unveiling of the Golden Jubilee monolith and the inauguration of the Golden Jubilee Morung by the DGP and the president Nagaland Police Sports Control Board (NPSCB), T.J. Longkumer (IPS). 

A press release issued by Nagaland Police Sports Control Board (NPSCB) stated that DGP team was raised in November 12, 1970 under the stewardship and leadership of the former IGP Nagaland,  R.D. Pande (IPS). During the formal programme, the DGP also released the Golden Jubilee Lapel Pin and Morung and delivered a short speech. The programme was chaired by commandant NAPTC & assistant secretary NPSCB, Ben Longkumer (NPS); welcome address by DIG (Trg) & Hony Secy NPSCB, Aotemsu (IPS); jubilee remarks by the sports officer - assistant commandant, Dibambo Zeliang; felicitation of former sports officers and others including the DGP Nagaland; presentation of the Jubilee song by the Jubilee  choir of the DGP sports team;  speeches by the IGP ( Trg & Bdr) and vice president NPSCB,  Liremo Lotha (IPS). Further vote of thanks was proposed by ABI Imliyanger and closing prayer was pronounced by executive secretary NPBCA, Rev Dr. Hukashe Zhimomi. 
All activities in the programme were carried out with strict compliance and in adherence to COVID SOPs and safety protocols.
