DHS Zunheboto holds review meeting

District Health Society (DHS) Zunheboto held its monthly review meeting-cum-transition to fever- rash measles rubella surveillance workshop on April 16 at Chief Medical Officer (CMO) office, Zunheboto.

A press release by CMO office Zunheboto stated that in a short speech, CMO Zunheboto Dr. Akaho Sema encouraged the members to put more effort to ensure smooth implementation of the different activities carried out in the district and to improve the performance in the district.

Dr. Akaho also asserted the importance of quality implementation of the programmes. He also requested the participants to submit timely submission of SOEs.

In view of the emergence of second wave of COVID-19 in the country, Dr. Akaho asked all health workers to be in their place of posting. 

In a presentation, SMO WHO, Dr. Shiela shared about the strategic objectives to achieve measles rubella elimination, strengthen outbreak response, ensuring coordination- district weekly review meeting and strategic objectives to achieve measles rubella elimination. 

SMO, Pughoboto CHC, Dr. J. Hokugha briefed the members on the new COVID-19 SOP and testing strategy while DTO, NTEP, Dr. Aron Murru briefed the participants on national TB elimination programme and DPO (RCH & UIP), Dr. Nukshisangla Jamir emphasised on the current COVID-19 vaccination status of the district.

The review meeting cum workshop was attended by CMO, DTO, DPO (RCH&UIP), SMOs, MOs, programme officers of different vertical programmes and BACs. The vote of thanks was delivered by DPM Rosemary, Vitoli.
