Dimapur FC partners with  Thailand club Kasetsart FC

Dimapur Football Club erstwhile known as Tribal Hustlers Football Club announced their partnership with Kasetsart Football Club, a football club based in Bangkok, Thailand. 

According to the club, Dimapur FC representative Stephen Moalung Sanglir signed the partnership alongside Suthep Wongruen, President of Kasetsart FC

This partnership would be the first step in opening up football in Nagaland to the global football community, beginning with neighbouring Southeast Asia.

The club stated that in partnering with Kasetsart FC, Dimapur FC would broaden the scale and scope of football development project in the state in order to train and promote talented local players. 

“With the collaboration and consultation from this experienced Thai club and its partners, along with an exchange program for promising Nagas, we aim to finally provide a foundation for Naga footballers to reach their potential,” stated the club. Founded in 1988, Kastersart FC currently competes in Thai League 2 and goes by the nickname “The Emerald Nagas.” 

While Dimapur FC was formed in 2019 and were also the runners up of the second edition of Dimapur Football League. The club registered under the Dimapur District Football Association in June this year as Dimapur Football Club with their aim go develop footballer in Nagaland.
