Department of School Education (DoSE) has cautioned that resuming of normal classes for students of pre-primary classes without the approval of the competent authority was strictly prohibited.

In a notification, principal director Shanavas C warned that appropriate action would be initiated against erring school heads and school managements.

Shanavas said it has been brought to the notice of the department that a few schools have resumed regular classes for students of pre-primary classes despite the government allowing resumption of normal classes only for students of classes 6 and above with effect from February 8, 2021 and students of classes 1 to 5 with effect from March 22, 2021.
