DoSE informs on online education portal

Principal director School Education Shanavas C has informed district education officers, sr. sub divisional educational officers, sub divisional educational officers and head of institutions of all government schools (GPS/GMS/GHS/GHSS) functioning in the state of Nagaland for strict compliance of the following directives with immediate effect. 

According to DIPR report, head of institutions of all government schools shall visit the online education portal of the department of School Education ‘’ and Register at the link “school login”; After completion of registration, school heads shall login into their school accounts and enter details asked under the “school data” section and submit. Care should be taken to provide accurate information. Submitted data can be edited only with the approval of the department; With effect from August 13, all school heads shall login into their school accounts every day and submit the details asked under the “daily report” section before 3 p.m; All DEOs/Sr. SDEOs/SDEOs will be provided user IDs and passwords to view the daily reports being submitted by schools under their jurisdiction. They shall share the same with the respective jurisdictional field officers and ensure that the “daily reports” submitted by schools are monitored and appropriate follow up actions initiated on daily basis; Accountability will be fixed at each level and negligence/non- adherence to the above directives will be viewed seriously and appropriate disciplinary action shall be initiated against the erring officials. Also, in view of the establishment of Rashtriya Swachhata Kendra (RSK) at New Delhi by department of Drinking Water & Sanitation (DDWS), ministry of Jal Shakti, a hi-tech edutainment format was inaugurated to chronicle India’s Swachhata journey on August 8.  

According to DIPR report, principal director, School Education, Shanavas C has notified that DDWS has launched Gandagi Mukt Bharat (GMB) campaign from August 8 to 15. In this regard, schools in the state have been directed to undertake suggestive participatory activities during the period of August 8 to 15. 

The web cast link for the inauguration event of RSK may be circulated to all teachers and students and log on to watch the event on August 8, 4:45 p.m. Online painting competition for classes 6 to 8 and essay competition for classes 9 to l2 on the theme of' “Gandagi Mukt Mera Gaon” may be organised on August 13. Schools shall select best two entries from each category and forward the same to respective district education officers. Name of student, class, school name & UDISE Number should be mentioned in the entries forwarded to the DEOs. Best three entries from the state will be forwarded to national level competition and winners both the categories will be felicitated on October 2.

Further, schools have been requested to submit details of students participated in each event to respective district education officers in MS excel file before August 14, 2 p.m. District education officers shall select best three entries from each category and forward the particulars in the above format as MS excel file with the entries to before August 15, 2 p.m.
