DPDB meeting held in Wokha

Wokha district planning and development board (DPDB) meeting was held on September 8 at DC conference hall, Wokha.

According to DIPR report, advisor of Horticulture & Border Affairs and chairman DPDB Wokha, Mhathung Yanthan urged board members to attend the meeting regularly and to actively participate in the planning process. Yanthan urged heads of offices to adopt innovative ideas to overcome these new challenges ahead and on activities of villages with aspiration.  He urged concerned departments to give more emphasis on projects and that action plans submitted by each department should be implemented in letter and spirit. 
The board decided to visit two aspirational villages, new Wokha and Ningying village in the next board meeting.
CMO, Wokha, Dr. W Tungoe while highlighting on COVID-19 scenario in the district said that it had recorded 24 positive cases, however, 23 had been recovered and discharged and one would be discharged on September 9.  CMO also said that district hospital has started its regular activities for both outdoor and indoor patients.
Dr. Chumben Murry MLA said that although the lockdown had been lifted slowly, all need to take precautionary measures while venturing out to reshape economic activities.
Vice/chairman DPDB Wokha & DC, Wokha Orenthung Lotha further appealed all to follow SOPs while undertaking economic activities.
Jt. secretary Border Affairs Jamithung Lotha while highlighting border issues with neighbouring states especially Assam said that the matter was with Supreme Court of India and was under subjudice.  Earlier, the chairman welcomed four new members, DEO (education) Kepelhonzo Terhuja, Sr. SDEO Thungrhomo Odyuo, DFO (fishery) Tori Yanthan and PO Lichumo Jungio.
