DPON, DSDGBU demand road maintenance

DIMAPUR | Publish Date: 10/4/2020 9:35:16 AM IST

Urging the government not to neglect the existing infrastructure at Ganeshnagar which can facilitate setting up of small-scale industries, the Dimasa Public Organization Nagaland (DPON) and Dhansiripar Sub-Division GBs Union (DSDGBU) have appealed the government to at least maintain the road.

A press release by DPON president, K. Naben and DSDGBU president Dohoi extended support to the resentment expressed by Urra Area Villages Union (UAVU), on the road condition leading to Manglumukh from Dimapur.
While mentioning that Dhansiripar was the oldest subdivision and deserving better in every sector, the two bodies stated that ongoing railway construction and heavy sand supply vehicles have completely damaged the road making it hardly jeepable. It also pointed out that Dhansiripar sub-division near to commercial town, Dimapur has been neglected in a “step motherly” way by the successive governments.
