Dr.T Ao inter-district football tourney likely to be held in Oct

Dr. T. Ao Trophy Inter-District Football Tournament is likely to be held in October if the situation of COVID-19 pandemic doesn’t worsen, said advisor for Youth Resources and Sports, Er. Zale Neikha on Friday.
He said that a meeting would be held in collaboration with the Nagaland Football Association to work out the modalities of the tournament. And following the SOP of the State government, the department is likely to introduce online live telecast for spectators. 
Meanwhile, a coordination meeting of Department of Youth Resources and Sports was held under the initiative of its advisor Er. Zale Neikha in Kohima on Friday.
The meeting dwelt on the feasibility of holding Dr.T.Ao Trophy this year. While studying the pros and cons, the department decided that if situation doesn’t worsen, the tournament would be held.
Department units like National Cadet Corps (NCC) of Army and Air wings, National Service Scheme (NSS), Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Bharat Scouts and Guides (BSG) and Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA) attended the meeting.  
The advisor said that the aim of the meeting was to understand the issues and activities in the different branches of the department. 
He also said that such meetings would be held at regular intervals. 
Alun Hangsing, Commissioner and Secretary, Youth Resources and Sports also exhorted the gathering and thanked the advisor for his concern for the overall growth of the department. 
The meeting was chaired by the Akumla Chuba, Director of Youth Resources and Sports.
