Efforts on for rollback of services: NHAK

In view of the need to cater to all categories of patients, Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) Thursday said it was making earnest preparations to rollback the services.

In a press release, NHAK managing director Dr. Thorhusie Katiry stated the issue was also deliberated upon at length during the district task force (DTF) meeting held at DC office Kohima on September 9, 2020. Dr. Katiry said that segregation of non-COVID-19 cases from COVID-19 positive cases as well as those awaiting COVID-19 results requiring medical and surgical intervention must be prepared from the point of entry to discharge. Therefore, despite the limited infrastructure, Dr. Katiry said the authority was putting up additional barriers as well as developing plans so there would be seamless transition on rolling back the various public healthcare services.

Further, Dr. Katiry said that once the remaining few symptomatic cases currently under NHAK care recovered or shifted to the designated wards and necessary safety procedures were observed, information would be given through media regarding resumption of services.

Therefore, NHAK has appealed to the public to bear the inconveniences for some time.
