Felicitation held for Richard Yanthan

Lotha Hoho (LH) and Lotha Students Union (LSU) organized a felicitation programme at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Wokha on September 8, to honour Richard Yanthan, IAS who recently cleared the UPSC 2019 and secured 133 rank. 

According to DIPR report, deputy chief minister, minister in-charge for Home and R & B, Y. Patton, speaking during the function congratulated R. Yanthan, for bringing laurel to the community, which he termed as a proud moment for the Nagas in general and Lotha community in particular. Patton also said, being one the of the youngest ISA officers in the state, “we have a strong conviction in him that he will bring a paradigm shift to the society” as he serves the nation as well as the Nagas in particular. Patton also announced that under LADP (common pool) logistic support will be given to the aspirant students undergoing coaching at IAS, ALS Coaching Centre, Wokha. Advisor of Horticulture, MhathungYanthan also wished Richard success as he begins a journey of many challenges and big tasks.
Dr. Chumben, MLA urged him to be the ambassador of the Nagas as he embarked on with a higher responsibility. He also appealed to the youngsters to look upon the good example set by Yanthan so that they become successful persons in life.
Richard Yanthan, while sharing his experiences during the felicitation programme attributed his success to the Almighty and the constant prayer and support from family members and friends. While speaking to the young aspirants, he urged them to work hard and continue to seek Lord’s blessing in all that they do. 
Chairman Lotha Hoho, Mhondamo Ovung, also congratulated Richard for bringing laurel to the Lotha community and also wished him good health and wisdom as he takes up higher responsibilities to serve the people with humanity and humbleness. Executive secretary, Lotha Baptist Churches Association (LBCA), Rev. L. Tsanso offered prayer of blessings.
