Fire destroys two houses at Tuli

Two houses along with house hold property, documents and Rs. 30,000 in cash were destroyed in the fire that broke out at Teyong Ward, Tzudikong town, opposite to SBI bank on April 27.

According to RO (E) FHQ, Kenny Khing, property worth 2.84 lakhs (approx) was lost.

After receiving information, the fire & emergency services (F&ES) team from fire station Tuli proceeded to control the fire. Cause of fire was suspected to be from electrical short circuit. However, due to timely intervention, fire was controlled and prevented from spreading. Two gas cylinders, surrounding three houses and a thatched house could be salvaged. No casualty was reported.

The fire response team was led by duty commander ASI Y Pangai Konyak.

Meanwhile, on receiving fire call at 6 p.m., F&ES from fire station Tuli swung into action to control the fire that broke out at 10th mile near railway station on April 26.

Due to intervention, the fire was controlled and prevented from spreading.
