Fires contained in Kohima, Jalukie

Fire & Emergency Services (F&ES) contained fires that broke out in different locations of Kohima, and Jalukie, but no casualties were reported.

Fire in Jalukie: F&ES team from fire station Jalukie proceeded to control the fire that broke out at Heningkunlwa Village, Jalukie on April 6. 
According to RO (E) (F&ES) Kenny Khing, one katcha house along with household items were gutted in the inferno.
Property worth Rs. 4.5 lakh (approx) was lost, however property worth Rs. 10 lakh (approx) was salvaged.
Cause of fire is suspected to be from kitchen fire.
Due to timely information and intervention, the fire was controlled and prevented from spreading to the surrounding houses.
Fire response team was led by duty commander ASI Neikielie Keyiencu.
Kitchen fire in Kohima: F&ES team from fire station kohima (South) proceeded to control the fire that broke out at Lerie Colony, Near St. Mary Higher Secondary School, Kohima on April 5. 
Cause of fire is due to leakage of LPG cylinder.
Due to timely intervention, the fire personnel were able to avert a major tragedy.
Fire response team was led by duty commander SI Keyirangsobe and ASI Wangkin.
