Flyod Hyundai Dimapur dealer principal Er. Shikato Sema Friday launched the latest SUV Alcazar, at its showroom located in Purana Bazaar.

At the launching programme, Er. Shikato noted that despite the risk involved in launching the new vehicle amid the Covid-19 pandemic, they were optimistic that the vehicle with latest features would satisfy the customers.

Based on the modified Creta platform, the new Hyundai Alcazar is positioned against the Tata Safari and the MG Hector Plus. The new Hyundai Alcazar is available with two engine options – a 159PS, 2.0L petrol and a 115PS, 1.5L diesel. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.

Drive rearview monitor: This feature allows the driver to see the rear traffic or view on the touchscreen while driving forward. It works differently compared to the rear parking camera, as it takes data from the rear camera to show in the infotainment system without putting your car into reverse gear.

Fully digital instrument console: Alcazar comes fitted with a 10.25-inch digital instrument console, while its rivals come with a 7-inch MID with analogue speedometer.

Seatback tables: The front seats of the Alcazar comes with seatback tables for the rear occupants. These tables also come with a retractable cupholder.

Rear sunshades: Alcazar comes with sunshades for the rear occupants as standard. These sunshades are manually operated, and are useful in protecting passengers from the sun’s glare and heat.

Paddle shifters: The automatic variants of the Alcazar SUV comes with paddle shifters as standard. This feature makes driving fun and engaging. Adding to it, the SUV offers multiple driving modes and traction control modes.

Air purifier with AQI display: The SUV comes with a factory-fitted air purifier with an AQI display mounted in the centre console. As soon as driver starts the AC, the AQI index falls as the air quality improves.

Other features include blind spot monitor, 64-colour ambient lighting, floor-mounted second-row centre console. The SUV also gets segment-first wireless smartphone charger for the second row occupants. This feature is only offered on the 6-seater version of the Alcazar.

Earlier, senior assistant Hirakato Sema and Minakshi Das made the introductory presentation of the new car.

The invocation prayer was proposed by senior sales consultant Avo, welcome address by sales manager Gokul Das, vote of thanks by assistant service manager Satish Gupta and benediction proposed by sales consultant Khelito Sema. The programme was conducted following Covid-19 SOPs.
