Forest camps torched near KA border area

At least seven camps belonging to the Forest department under Karbi Anglong West Division and one departmental nursery were allegedly torched by miscreants inside Daldali reserve forest Monday evening around 5 p.m. along Assam- Dimapur border area.
Sources from the department said that around seven service weapons along with ammunitions, kept inside one of the camp, were also burnt fire.
Earlier during the day, officers and staffs of Forest department evicted an illegally constructed  structure by some encroachers.  According to reports, officials of Karbi Anglong district administration, SDO (Civil) Bokajan and police personnel reached the spot.
