Gov, CM extend Good Friday greetings

Nagaland governor RN Ravi and chief minister Neiphiu Rio have extended Good Friday greetings to citizens of Nagaland.

In his message, Ravi said that the essence of Good Friday was the victory of good over evil, adding that truth, non-violence, love, forgiveness and grace were some of the significant attributes of Jesus Christ. “Let us reflect and imbibe these essential virtues and the Youths, who are our future, should above all assimilate His unblemished attributes,” governor said. Stating that Christ came to bring His peace to every man and woman, governor said “He came as the Prince of Peace.” Ravi also said peace through non-violence and truth was the greatest gift of Jesus to Humanity.

On the occasion, the governor also appealed to each and every body to follow Covid-19 protocols at all times. “May the true spirit of Good Friday be with all of us in thoughts and in action,” Ravi stated.

CM: State chief minister called for remembering the “ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ and His unconditional love for us” on Good Friday. “Light conquered darkness and goodness conquered sin,” Rio said and prayed that Good Friday 2021 bring “new meaning and change in our lives” and wished all Christians a blessed Good Friday.
