HR Conclave held at ICFAI

Faculty of management studies of ICFAI University Tripura organised a HR Conclave at ICFAI University, Tripura on January 17 on the topic “Human Capital Development in Emerging North-East.” The conclave was organised in collaboration with National HRD Network (NHRDN), National Career Service, OTPC and AMRI Hospitals. 

The main objective of the conclave was overall skill development of management and engineering students and to exchange knowledge of different HRD practices in private and public sectors. Rupak Barua, Group CEO of AMRI hospital graced the inaugural session as the chief guest and B Sinha, Managing Director of Tripura Natural Gas Company and Arnab Chakraborty, General Manager (HR & Admin) of CESC Limited and president of NHDRN, Kolkata were the special guest and guest of honour respectively. 

Other renowned dignitaries include Banani Debbarma, Director (Commercial) of TNGCL, S K Bhagat, HR Head of OTPC plant, Dr. Ashish Nath and Dr. Mahasweta Das, Dr. Arabindo Mahato from Tripura University, Dr. Arjun Gope of Ramthakur College, Abhijit Chakraborty, Deputy Director of TTDCL and Debraj Deb, senior copy editor of the Indian Express.  

More than hundred HR managers, administrative personnel and students from various organisations participated in the conclave. Prof. Biplab Halder, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Tripura University delivered the welcome address while Dr. A Ranganath, Registrar of Tripura University explained the justification of the title of the conclave. 

Representatives from TNGCL, CESC, OTPC, Tripura University and Ramthakur College took part in panel discussion.
