111 battalion of Border Security Forces (BSF) as part of its Civic Action Programme (CAP) on January 18 distributed sports items and other essentials to the inhabitants of Kivikhu, Vishepu, Hoishe, Sukhai, Ghukhei and Satakha town.
In a press release, 111 Bn BSF said the forces has always been at the forefront by undertaking various welfare/development activities to win the heart of local populace and boost the image of the force among the common people in accordance with the instructions issued by Government of India from time to time.
Apart from its mandate of providing security to the local population, the release said many events are organised all the year round to improve and uplift the lives of people living in area of responsibility of the battalion.
The battalion also holds pre-recruitment training of eligible youths in order to help them to pass different recruitment tests conducted by various CAPFs/other forces.
Meanwhile, GBs, council members and public leaders representing different villages from the neighbouring areas and Satakha town expressed gratitude to 111 Bn Satakha for the noble gesture.
