600 youths complete skill training

Six hundred youths have completed training in construction sector organized by department of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
According to DIPR report, the final round of demand-driven short-term Skill Development training in the construction sector culminated in all the 12 districts
The last lap of the skill training culmination programme was held at Jakhama and Kohima village on September 10. The youths were trained in plumbing, electrical, tiling, and masonry work.
Director, Employment Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Chiden Yaden exhorted the trainees and all the successful participants were awarded certificates and working tools and machinery.
In his closing remark, deputy director ES&E, Zubemo Lotha thanked all the Administrative Officers, DEOs, Principals of ITIs, training partner Zynorigue Initiative Society and stakeholders around the state for supporting the department by mobilizing the youths in sub-division/district hqs.
He said the training enabled the youths to learn the basic techniques in the construction sector in multiple roles for their livelihood sustenance.
He also said that the department will be looking forward to more short-term Skill training programmes in the unserved areas soon.
