Aboi Area Students’ Union condemns alleged sexual assault on minor

Aboi Area Students’ Union (AASU) has vehemently condemned the sexual assault on a minor girl by one Om Prakash who was serving as GT (science) GMS, Chaoha Chingnyu under SDEO Aboi on February 17.
In a condemnation note, AASU media cell stated that the accused had “brought a disgrace to the noble profession of the teaching community” and diluted the professional trust between the parents and teachers.
AASU claimed that the victim and her guardian approached the teacher for admission however, “on the pretext of health issue”, the accused conducted a medical examination using stethoscope and “sexually exploited the minor girl”.
It also claimed that the minor girl who was in trauma revealed the incident to her mother following which the victim’s mother sought help from the village guard (VG) Chaoha Chingnyu.
AASU expressed shock to learn that the accused had been “illegally prescribing medicines to the villagers”.
Further, the student union appealed to the law enforcing agencies to book the culprit with befitting punishment so that justice was delivered to the victim at the earliest.
AASU also asked concerned public under Aboi jurisdiction to cross check such activities being carried out in any corners.
It urged them to come forward and report the matter to the office or police station.
The union acknowledged Chaoha Chingnyu Students’ Union (CCSU), KNSK Choaha and Village Guard (VG) Chaoha for bringing the case in the light and assured that the union would fight to eradicate such unlawful acts in the society.
