Alpine Open scouts & guides unit camping underway

Alpine open scouts and guides unit annual camping 2022, a week-long unit annual camping commenced on June 22 is underway at St. Edmund’s school, Kigwema.
In an inaugural speech, special guest of the camp, Principal of Holy Family Higher Secondary School Kohima, Ashikho termed scouts and guides as the “agents of peace”. He said that scouting is for all-round development in a person and therefore asked the campers to be serious and responsible in attending the camp.
The special guest also asked campers to learn whatever they could so that the things they learned may come of use in the future.
While admiring the good work done by Samuel Mezhür Sekhose who was a Silver Elephant Awardee of Bharat Scouts and Guides, the principal also brief the scouts and guides some history about the scouting movement in India and in Nagaland.
Assistant State Training Commissioner (Scouts), Kekhrieselhou Theünuo delivered the welcome address while introduction and about the camp was done by Administrator of the Unit and Assistant State Organizing Commissioner (Scouts), Imlisunep Imchen.
Speech on behalf of the State Headquarter of Bharat Scouts and Guides was delivered by State Organizing Commissioner (Guide), Vimezhonu.
Vote of thanks was delivered by Assistant Leader Trainer (Scout), Om Prakash Gupta.
Resource persons of the seven days session would be Kekhrieselhou Theünuo ASTC(S), ALT(S) Om Prakash Gupta, Inato Sema,DOC(S) Kiphire,Tsipise Antony ASO(S) Kiphire and Vimezhonu Tetso SOC(G).
