Angami Students’ Union issues directives to units

DIMAPUR: In compliance with the directive issued by Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) dated March 18 and unanimous resolution adopted during 2nd NSF federal assembly, Angami Students’ Union (ASU) has directed its units to strictly follow the following directives until justice was delivered to victims of Oting massacre, December 4, 2021, and other atrocities committed by the Indian armed forces in the past.
In a directive, ASU president Bisevi Nakhro and general secretary Mhalevilie Medoze has directed that: no individual/group under Angami jurisdiction should accept any form of aid from the Indian armed forces; no individual/group should be allowed to invite Indian armed forces to any event being organised in its jurisdiction and neither should they partake in any official event of the Indian armed forces.
Further, ASU informed directed all its units to hoist a black flag in their respective offices as a mark of protest against the imposition of the draconian Armed Forces Special Powers Act 1958 (AFSPA) in “Naga homeland.” The Units have also been directed to take steps to ensure that similar exercise was carried out in all Naga villages.
