All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA) Peren demands reversal of teachers’ rationalisation

All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA) Peren unit while expressing dissatisfaction over the recent government order of rationalisation and retention of teachers in Peren district has asked the concerned authority to revoke the same.
In a press release, ANSTA Peren unit president, Kaibakam Pamai and general secretary, Haidun Zeliang alleged that the district SDEOs are posted for “few months and gets retirement and comes hardly to the office”.
Stating that there was no ground inspection for rationalisation and retention, the unit asked why additional teacher was posted in some villages where school was closed or never ran after establishment.
ANSTA Peren unit also questioned the posting of “unqualified” primary teachers in Government High School (GHS) and Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) especially when these schools should be staffed with qualified and adequate number of teachers.
The unit also said some graduate teachers from Government Middle School (GMS) were transferred to GHS, four primary teachers were transferred from GHSS with no replacement and in some villages which were downgraded to GPS, additional post was posted in rationalisation.
In view of the “misplacement in rationalisation or in retention”, ANSTA Peren unit has asked the concerned higher authority to revoke the order and after “having done the ground reality” to take up, rationalisation and retention by summer break.
