Azo graces indigenous cooking competition at Phek

NPF legislature party leader and UDA co-chairman, Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu on Wednesday, graced “indigenous cooking competition, documentation and declaration of Chakhesang dish & interpretation and display of Chakhesang attires”, organised by Chakhesang Mothers’ Association (CMA) to promote indigenous food at Phek town.
In a press release, CMA informed that Azo in his speech, lauded the association for organising the event while guest of honour, DC Phek, Razouvolie Dozo acknowledged CMA for documenting Chakhesang dishes. Pfütsero Town Mothers’ Association bagged first prize, Secheku Women Welfare Society bagged second prize while Khezha/Khuzha Area Mothers’ Association bagged third prize and Chakhesang Women Society Kohima bagged fourth prize.
Secheku Women Welfare Society was also declared as “overall best.”
CMA publicity & information secretary Wezope-u Elah chaired the programme, Phek Town Baptist Church pastor Rev. Dr. Thiipuchiyi Khusoh offered invocation, CMA president Zhonelii Tiinyi delivered keynote address and CPO president Vezuhii Keyho shared greetings.
Highlights included folk song from Vehusulii Rose and Husheziilii Khamo and Chakhesang Cultural Organization.
Nezelu Nyekha, executive director Chakhesang Women Welfare Society highlighted the interpretation and display of Chakhesang attires while vote of thanks was proposed by CMA vice president Ruyizolii Rhakho.
