Be diligent, Yangseo tells students

Deputy speaker, NLA, T. Yangseo Sangtam on Saturday, encouraged the students to be diligent, to work hard and explore their talents.
Doing this, he said, would sustain their life since “only the best service gets into dignified service.”
Speaking as guest of honour at the 37th fresher’s meet-cum-felicitation programme on the theme “confluence through education”, organised by Konyak Students’ Union Kohima (KSUK) at State Academy Hall, Yangseo congratulated the fresher’s on getting through one step towards building a career and said they would be exposed to new things which sometimes would be challenging.
In this regard, he said the choice depended on oneself and urged upon the students to be vigilant of what was chosen.
He encouraged them to support one another in times of need and reminded them that Konyak, being the elder brother among the Eastern tribes, should have bigger responsibilities to lead its people.
The deputy speaker also reminded the students that their investment today will determine their future. In this regard, he advised them to do the things that they would not regret later.
At the programme, guest speaker, NPSC chairman Honje Konyak also had an integration with the students during the second session.
Earlier, youth director-cum-associate pastor KBBK, Z. Mankup Loam offered invocation while KBBK pastor offered dedicatory prayer to the students.
Women leader KBBK led the gatherings with Konyak anthem while KSUK president M. Honli Konyak delivered the presidential address.
The programme was attended by a host of Konyak legislators, representatives from KUK, KNSK Kohima, tribal student leaders, church leaders and others.
