BJP, NDPP alliance on strong footing: BL Santhosh

Top national BJP leader and general secretary (Org) BL Santhosh, who is on a three-day visit to Nagaland, Thursday said that the alliance of the NDPP and BJP is on a strong footing.
Taking to Twitter, Santhosh said: “With 5 years of good governance track record, the alliance of NDPP & BJP are on a strong footing as election approaches.”
Santhosh, who arrived Kohima on Thursday held series of meetings with State BJP leaders and karyakartas at Hotel Japfu. “Participated in various election preparation related meetings of @BJP4Nagaland in Kohima, Nagaland,” he said in a tweet. On his arrival, Santhosh was received by BJP president and minister Temjen Imna Along, deputy chief minister and BLP leader Y. Patton and host of BJP legislators and party workers.
Santhosh held separate meetings with presidents of various districts, mandals, morchas, full time workers, state media and IT cell etc. He also held a separate meeting with BJP legislators and ex-parliamentarians and intending candidates.
Santhosh discussed at length to strengthen the position of BJP in the state and to propagate various welfare and flagship programmes.
Later in the evening, a felicitation programme was held in honour of BL Santhosh at the State banquet hall, chief minister’s official residence. BL Santhosh and host of NDPP leaders including chief minister Neiphiu Rio, NDPP president Chingwang Konyak, NDPP secretary general Abu Metha and BJP president Temjen Imna Along, deputy CM Y. Patton and others addressed the gathering.
Santhosh is scheduled to leave for Tuensang on Friday where he will address the BJP district executive meeting and hold another meeting at Pughoboto with party karyakartas and depart the same day for Guwahati.
