Block level Common School Management Committee (SMC) and School Management and Development Committees (SMDC) training got underway on March 3, at CTC hall, Chumukedima.
The training was organized by district education mission office, Samagra Shiksha, Dimapur.
Delivering keynote address, state mission office-SS, Nagaland deputy mission director, Liyalo Apon said that for the last two years due to pandemic, schools were closed and for which learning has been hindered, thereby SMC/ SMDC needed to work together. The trainers have been divided into six groups covering 11 districts.
As per ministry order “Go back to school” students were asked to attend school with proper guidelines.
SDEO Medziphema Ruby Humtsoe in his brief address asserted that education was an inclusive subject that every citizen was responsible to bring better education to the younger generation.
Lamenting that enrolment in most of the schools in the state were no active he requested SMC/SMDC to put a keen interest on the enrolment of the students.
Highlights of the programme included training session and interactive session where doubts and queries were clarified.
