Book titled ‘ABAM Arükhudongtem’ released

A book titled “ABAM Arükhudongtem” (The Vanguards of Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang) authored by Tiala Imchen was released by president, ABAM, Rev Sentisashi Aier at Worship Hall, Züin Ki, Dimapur on Monday 31.
Aier in his speech stated that the amount of hard work, dedication and sacrifices rendered by an author towards his/her book was praise worthy. He however lamented that their works almost go unnoticed and unappreciated due to very less readers in the state.
On the other hand, Rev Sentisashi described Tiala as an imaginative person, a great story teller and hardworking and acknowledged for using her talents in the right manner.
He further acknowledged the author and hoped that the book would be an inspiration for all.
Meanwhile, the author in her speech stated that the book dwelt on the stories of executive secretaries of ABAM, starting from Rev Kijungluba (1955-1976), Rev. Lanumeren (1977-1985), Rev Rikum (1985-1991), Rev L Kari Longchar (1997-2001), Rev O Alem (2011-1011) and Rev. Mar Atsongchanger (2011-2021).
She said that research on the book started from 2020, but due to the pandemic it took longer time to complete. She however expressed happiness on releasing the book in commemoration of the sesquicentennial (150 years) jubilee of ABAM, to be celebrated from November 1 to 3.
Tiala further later hoped that the book will inspire readers to spread the gospel of God throughout the world.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by pastor, DABA, Rev I Wati Jamir and invocation by Limala Jamir.
Short speeches were also delivered by editor in chief, Tir Yimyim, K Temjen Jamir and vice president, Ao Senso Telongjem Dimapur, Imtisangba Aier, while benediction was offered by pastor, Kupza Baptist Church, Rev T Moa.
Book lovers can avail the book at Tir Yimyim office (Super Market), Dimapur and for Mokokchung at Mkg Clark Literature House (MTBA downstairs) for a sum of Rs 600.
