CEAN, CTAN serve ultimatum on govt

Civil Engineers’ Association of Nagaland (CEAN) and Combined Technical Association of Nagaland (CTAN) have jointly served a 10-day ultimatum on the state government to unconditionally terminate all appointments that were made “without open advertisement (backdoor appointment)”.
In a representation to commissioner & secretary (W&H), the associations stated that they agreed in principle to call off the sit-in protest (temporarily) after the department on December 17, 2019 assured to resolves the issue within three months. However, they said that despite several reminders, the assurance has not been implemented till date. Failure to terminate all those appointments, the two associations threatened to take necessary action.
