Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) urges DoSE to review rationalization of teachers

Asserting that the shortage of teachers in many schools under Phek district was yet to be addressed, Chakhesang Students’ Union has urged the department of school education to review the rationalization of teachers.
In a representation to commissioner & secretary, school education, CSU president Avezo Kevin Kapu and general secretary Pei Kezo stated the union, while reviewing the recent rationalization, found that in many cases teachers were being redeployed to other schools though there was “a clear indication” of teacher shortage in their former posting.
CSU has, therefore, appealed to the department to review and streamline the procedure of rationalization comprehensively. CSU also urged the department to prioritize on the strength of the students and teachers in the concerned school; approaching retirement of teachers; inadequacy of teachers with respect to standard staffing pattern.
CSU informs teachers: Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) has informed all the teachers under its jurisdiction whose name had been enlisted by the government for transfer and redeployment to other schools to restrain from abiding by the stated order until the issue was reviewed by the department.
CSU has requested all the concern teachers to remain in their previous place of posting before the issue was logically settled.
