CM holds review meetingon monsoon preparedness

State chief minister Neiphiu Rio, who is also the chairman of Nagaland state disaster management authority (NSDMA), Monday reviewed monsoon preparedness at the chief minister’s residential complex, Kohima on Monday.
According to DIPR, Rio asked the departments involved in monsoon related works to be prepared with necessary machineries and other essential commodities for any eventuality. He urged all line departments to give extra efforts so as to avert and mitigate the impact of monsoon fury.
The chief minister also interacted with the deputy commissioners through video conferencing and took stock of the present situation in the districts. DCs also shared about the monsoon preparedness and the status of food and other essential commodities in the districts.
During the meeting, departments of NSDMA, PWD(R&B), urban development and agriculture gave power point presentation.
The meeting was attended by a host of cabinet ministers, advisors, senior government officials and officials from the departments.
