DBC observes 5th graduation day

Don Bosco College (DBC) Kohima observed its fifth graduation day at the college premise with pro-vice chancellor Nagaland University, Merima campus, Dr. Prof. N. Venuh as special invitee, here, on Saturday.
In his address, Dr. Prof. N. Venuh congratulated the graduates and expressed gratitude to the teachers and parents for their support and dedication in nurturing the students.
Pointing out that the graduates would now be qualified to appear for competitive exams, Venuh said determination, attitude and self-discipline were keys to success.
Exhorting the students that obstacles ahead would become more challenging, he advised them to keep a positive attitude in order to move forward.
Further, he said, “without determination, it will be difficult no matter how intelligent a person may be” and asked them to see one’s own mistakes and correct them when any hurdles came their way instead of “shifting the blame” to teachers, parents or the government.
Venuh concluded his speech by advising the graduates to be honest and responsible persons in the society so that they would be respected individuals, living content lives.
The programme was chaired by Sobin Karki, assistant professor and controller of examination, Kezienuo delivered graduation report while Jenifer (5th semester) presented a special song.
Altogether, 155 graduates along with university topper, Ankita Priyadarshini English CGPA:6.96 who secured first rank were felicitated.
