District Health Society Mon holds review meeting

District Health Society (DHS) Mon held its review meeting on May 13 at the Conference Hall of Mon District Hospital (MDH).
A press release by National Health Mission (NHM) Mon stated that Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Mon, Dr. Kechongol Sophie appreciated the Community Health Officers (CHOs) for staying in their place of posting and bringing up some changes in their respective health units. He hoped that the same spirit would continue even in the days to come.
Reviewing the presentations by the CHOs, deputy CMO Mon, Dr Rongsennungla urged the medical officials and employees to be in their respective place of postings. She also asked them to maintain cordial relationship with village leaders and involve the community to fulfil the challenges which can be mended and initiated at the village level.
RRT-WHO, Dr Mhechekhro Mero emphasised on identifying suspected Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) such as measles rubella, acute flaccid paralysis, diptheria pertussis tetanusby health care workers and strengthening the surveillance and reporting system.
At the meeting, district Tuberculosis (TB) officer, Dr Tinenlo James Katiwa also highlighted the gathering on certain programs on TB and PPT presentations were given by CHOs of Tobu and Tizit block.
The meeting was attended by medical officers, nurses and Block Programme Management Unit (BPMU) staffs of all the health units of the blocks.
