DRDA Kohima employees to continue stir

Employees of District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) Kohima at an emergency meeting held on December 14, 2021, have resolved to continue the ongoing strike.
The employees said the meeting, which deliberate on the issue of pending salary and the appeals, was convened in view of the government’s appeal to DRDAs to call off the ongoing agitation.
During the meeting, the officers and staff of DRDA Kohima demanded that the payment of pending salaries be made in full before December 22, 2021. Failure to make payment or arranged within the stipulated date, the employees cautioned to take legal action.
They also cautioned once it becomes a legal matter, the authority would be held liable for attorney’s fee and court cost related in the lawsuit. They said that the authority would also be held liable to pay all the interest accrued as required legally.
