Firing incident near Dan village

A firing incident reportedly took place in Dan village area under Noklak district near the India-Myanmar border, Tuesday morning at around 1.30 a.m.
While confirming about the incident, official sources said that no casualties were reported in the incident.
District and police administration along with Village Guards rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation.
Talking to Nagaland Post, local legislator and advisor prisons, printing & stationery, H. Haiying condemned the incident stating that this was the sixth firing incident in the same area.
Haying said that the state government should create a police outpost and administrative office at Pangsha since the situation by and large remain tense in that area.
In another incident, PRO (Def) Lt. Col Sumit Sharma said that the Jairampur Battalion of IGAR (North) foiled an “infiltration bid by insurgents at Pangsau Pass” under Changlang district in Arunachal Pradesh on August 9.
Security has been enhanced along the border area particularly in view of the upcoming Independence Day celebrations.
During the stand-off with armed groups, PRO said an Assam Rifles JCO suffered minor injury in the hand.
