IIE conducts entrepreneurship awareness programme in Dimapur

Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), an organisation under the ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) in collaboration with the directorate of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (ESD&E) conducted an “Entrepreneurship Awareness and Outreach programme” at AIDA, Don Bosco School Campus, Dimapur on June 29.
In a press release, IIE informed that while welcoming the participants, district employment officer, ESD&E Dimapur, Gideon L Sumi highlighted the issue of unemployment in the state and appreciated IIE for their efforts to help the youth of Nagaland in enhancing their entrepreneurial skills.
He said the Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) which was being set up in Kohima aims to promote entrepreneurship and enhance entrepreneurial ecosystem in Nagaland and create a robust system for the growth of entrepreneurs in the state.
Gideon also said that entrepreneur must undergo regular entrepreneurship development programmes in order to be successful. Meanwhile, an introduction and briefing of the programme was done by the IIE team.
In the first session, resource person, Proprietor of Warehouse 103, which provides Food Packaging solutions and processing machinery, Nukuzo Phesao shared the scope of entrepreneurship in the context of Nagaland.
During the second session, director and proprietor of Pristine Foods, Er. Puteu Phesao discussed on how to start a new business venture and prerequisites to become a successful entrepreneur.
The session concluded with brief description of EDC guidelines and information to participants.
The programme was attended by aspiring and existing entrepreneurs, and students.
