IIE conducts ToT for Naga entrepreneurs

Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), an autonomous organisation under the ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship which is setting up an Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) in Kohima under Sankalp scheme, conducted a five-day Training of Trainers (ToT) programme at IIE Campus Guwahati from August 22-26.
The programme was sponsored by directorate of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, government of Nagaland.
In a press release, IIE informed that while speaking at the concluding programme, IIE director Dr. Lailt Sharma said setting up of EDC would help promote entrepreneurship and enhance the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
He also informed that this would create a robust roadmap for growth of entrepreneurs in Nagaland.
With industry and subject matter experts as resource persons, the ToT programme was attended by 19 participants from varied backgrounds and field of work from Nagaland.
The five-day training for trainers consisted of an intensive curriculum developed by IIE.
The participants also visited the Northeast Cane and Bamboo Development Council (NECBDC) and Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology (IIFPT) as a part of the programme.
It may be mentioned that the EDC will be established in BOT model where the centre will be built, operated and transferred to the stakeholder.
