Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship holds stakeholders’ meet in Kohima

Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) held a stakeholders’ meeting on May 13 in the multipurpose hall of the directorate of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Kohima for finalisation of governance and implementation structure for Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC).
In a press release, IIE informed that the institute on March 2022 had signed a MoU with DESDE Kohima for establishment of EDC at Kohima and Ernst and Young LLP (EY) were identified as a knowledge partner by DESDE and IIE for the project implementation.
At the meeting, IIE director, Dr Lalit Sharma spoke about the importance of entrepreneurship and the various schemes followed by other states.
Faculty member and head CIE (IIE), Dr Sriparna B Baruah gave a brief presentation and one-year plan for the EDC while DESDE director, Chiden Yaden talked about the gaps in Nagaland and scope of employment from the EDC.
IIE said 45 stakeholders from different government departments, NIT, colleges, CSOs, private entities, entrepreneurs, etc. had contributed their valuable suggestions for implementing the EDC. (eom)
Meanwhile, IIE said the main objective of the project was to promote entrepreneurship and enhance the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the state of Nagaland by setting up EDC in Kohima. IIE said EDC shall be established in the BOT model where the Centre would be built, operated and transferred to stakeholders.
